You'll have to ask them since there hasn't been a serious scientific study for over 30 years. Teenage includes 13-19 - quite a large age and maturity range there. When I was growing up in the 1950's I was some what confused had feeling for both guys and gals. By the time was in junior high school was knew I was gay.
Today teens have much better knowledge with internet and other sources to be able to question there sexual confusion.

It'll last a while, if you're confident with your answer it shouldn't take that long. If you're bi, you're screwed. All that went around in my head was boys or girls for like a year. One or the other.
