What are possible reasons for a teenage girl to have lower back pains?

I'm a teenager w/ lower back pains.

I carry a bookbag all dya that is literally 15 lbs.

I'm also a track / cross country runner.

What are some reasons / conditions? (Scoliosis?)What are possible reasons for a teenage girl to have lower back pains?
you might want to go check with a chiropracter just to make sure that you dont have any curviture of the back. You know at school where they have those annual checkups for scoliosis? well everyone said that i was normal but i just went to the chiropracter because of neck and shoulder and lower back/hip pains and it turns out there is a curviture in my lower spine causing back problems. so you might want to check with a chiropracter and get x-rays.

it also could be the backpack, altough i would think that it would just put a lot of pressure on your shoulders. anyways both are good reasons to go see a doc about it.What are possible reasons for a teenage girl to have lower back pains?
There are many teenage girls that struggle with severe pain during their menstrual period. They sometimes suffer from headaches, diarrhea, dizziness, nausea, and lower back pain. Exercise and rest can help but teenagers usually find this very difficult.

Many teenagers think that this is normal for menstrual cycles, but it is not. It is possible that they could have Endometriosis. This is a disease that many people know very little about. Doctors have learned that up to 30 percent of women that are of reproductive age may have Endometriosis. The exact cause of Endometriosis is still not known. One theory is that during menstruation some of the menstrual tissue backs up through the Fallopian tubes, implants itself in the abdomen, and grows there.

Another suggests that the industrial tissue is distributed from the uterus to other parts of the body through the lymphatic system or the bloodstream. A genetic theory suggests that Endometriosis may be carried in the genes of certain families or that certain women may have factors predisposing them to it. Others blame toxins and dioxins in our polluted environment.

Every case of endometriosis is very different. Some doctor feel that a hysterectomy along with removal of the ovaries is the ultimate and definitive solution. Even after surgery you will have to have an ultrasound examination of your ovaries every three months, in addition to taking medication. Endometriosis is a hormonal and immune system disease. Adjusting your diet and reducing your caffeine intake can be more effective than taking medication.
Consider the style of your bag. If it is a one shoulder bag, consider getting the traditional two strap backpack. This is just a start.

Maybe you have strengthened your abdomen too much, often if there is too much strength on the abs, the back takes a toll because it is the antagonistic muscle to the abdomen. Consider doing some back stretches and workouts to strengthen the muscles there.
heavy weights are a possible reason for the back pains, but also might damage your spinal cord. Be careful !
Could this not be period pains?

If it isnt, im not sure, sorry (:

xx
You might just have them because of your books...or you could have your period. Sometimes, I get back pains from mine.
