How can I help my teenage niece who was impregnated by her boyfriend?

My niece became pregnant before she turned 18. Her boyfriend did not take the responsibility, instead she was told to have abortion. She decided to keep the baby and gave birth just recently.





We do not want any trouble. All we want is justice for her and to give her boyfriend a lesson. What case should we file? He is still in college.How can I help my teenage niece who was impregnated by her boyfriend?

he is required to pay child support. That includes future earnings he will make, so you might as well file now for child support. Its going to be a nice awakening for him when he graduates , gets a jobs, and realizes that 1/3 or whatever percentage it is , is going to the baby.
all she would need to do is go to a child support office in her county and talk to someone. They will probably request a paternity test unless he admits to paternity and once that comes back he will have to pay child support. Hopefully he has a job, but if he doesn't they will make him fill out paperwork showing that he is applying for jobs so many times a week. If he does not fill out this paperwork or get a job he will get sentenced to jail time. Good luck!!!

Have her get child support---that will be a lesson in itself. If you file for statutory rape the poor guy will be labeled a sex offender for life. Kinda rough on the guy.

He is required to pay child support so start with that. Get a lawyer to help you.
if hes older you can call it rape. the justice system will probably let you get away with it even if its not very fair but thats if you really want to hurt the young man. If not try to get it on his record with his college.
