ok well i am a teenager and i just re-did my room. i did zebra about half way down.. then like a hot pink stripe unmder the zebra print.. then i put black on the rest of the wall. if that interests u at all. but also u could just to a solid cute color with desighns

What are the cool (good) colors for a room? The colors that YOU like. Not the colors somebody here likes.
You could always do the classic pink. But I'm a teen girl too, and I'd rather do the UNclassic. But maybe that's just me. If I were you, I'd try and look at all the furniture that would fit each color, and see which is the best. Hope that helped a little! Happy Holidays! ;]

Pink is good one for teenege girl.a small bed with lovely pictures of flowers,small table with attractive small chair and small corner table,a writing table will look good.have a flower vase and a good table lamp will look good.furniture should be of wood carving.bed should be covered with designs of flowers.use bed sheet,pillow covers having violet colour if you are using light pink shade on walls.roof should be of white colour.

Pink is a color of girl.
Blue is a color of boy.
Your favorite colors are good enough for the purpose.
My personal recommendation is:
Pink, Deep Sea Blue, White
most girls prefer pink or light colors for their room. if you don't wanna use one specific color you could paint two sides of the wall dark blue and the other two walls light green. my cousins painted their room like that and it does look nice actually :]
or you can paint your room a peachy-yellowish color to brighten up the room even more especially when the sun shines through your windows.
another thing that really looks cool in a room is if you hire a professional painter to paint your ceiling like a sky. with clouds and blue sky all around. so when your laying down on your bed it looks as if your looking at a skyy :D
burgandy/maroon-those kind of colors are common
Well, I would have different accessories in each of these colors. Maybe having your favorite color for the wall with the other colors for designs on the wall!
You want a color that after several years, you can look at without feeling blinded or overwhelmed. The light blue could be a nice color. Considering you want a room that is there to feel calm and relaxed. But the colors all depends as well on your furniture. You don't want to mix dark wood with a bright pastel.
i guess shades of purple wil go pretty well, with a textured wall. its cause most of the colors tend to blend well with it, and ts pretty much in fashion these days.

go to home depot or Lowe's and look around at their paint samples and wallpapers ... pick something that is ALL YOU ... on the note of suggestions, I would say to go with cooler colors like blues and greens, stay away from reds and oranges, as psychiatrists say they can cause anxiety if used in a room for sleeping ... my personal preference is for white or a very light beige or gray (and I mean ';very light,'; as in just a hint of the color) then you can change your furniture and put colorful pictures up and constantly change little (or not so little) things like that and it will never clash with the paint ...
as for decorating and furniture ideas, these should go with your personality ... are you artistic? would an easel be appropriate to you as an individual? ... are you smart? would a bookshelf and matching computer desk be to your personality? ... do you have a hobby or collect anything? is there an animal or design or historical era that you feel is an integral part of expressing yourself? ... are you athletic? would you have any trophies or ribbons to show off? ... are you an extreme girly-girl with a need to be saturated in pinks, flowers, and lace? ... how you decorate your room should really reflect you and what makes you unique ...
Duh. All girls like pink. Not really. But if it is your favorite color, then good for you. Use it.
You already have colors you like, so why not choose from that palate? Pick one as your wall color, then sponge paint with another and paint the trim in that same color. I think lime green and light blue would be beautiful - like an underwater mermaid room. But pink and purple could be fun, too - like a genie bottle...you could have a cool harem-type room with that.
